Easy listen/read。 I really thought this was leading up to a series。 I would have given it 5 stars if that was the case。 I enjoyed all these characters and wanted more。 It wrapped up quickly。

Great Caroly Brown book。 Enjoyed this one even more than normal as fewer characters were over the top bizarre。

So sad this book ended。 I could’ve gone for a few more chapters。 Well written book about families and relationships。 Carolyn Brown hit it out of the park!

How Devine a story!I wasn't sure how this one would end after the scoundrels were run off before halfway through book but the good guys prevailed and happiness is as sweet as donuts in Devine Texas。 How Devine a story!I wasn't sure how this one would end after the scoundrels were run off before halfway through book but the good guys prevailed and happiness is as sweet as donuts in Devine Texas。 。。。more

sweet and comforting I read a lot of romance novels。 A good majority of them would probably be considered smut。 I haven’t read a book from Carolyn Brown in a while and remembered how comforting and sweet they could be。 Her books are clean and there is always a strong family presence。 In The Devine Doughnut Shop we have Grace, her sister Sarah, and their cousin Macy。 They run said shop and are each going through different issues。 The story is written in third person。 I enjoyed the connection the sweet and comforting I read a lot of romance novels。 A good majority of them would probably be considered smut。 I haven’t read a book from Carolyn Brown in a while and remembered how comforting and sweet they could be。 Her books are clean and there is always a strong family presence。 In The Devine Doughnut Shop we have Grace, her sister Sarah, and their cousin Macy。 They run said shop and are each going through different issues。 The story is written in third person。 I enjoyed the connection the three have with each other。 The story primarily revolves around Grace but each will get their HEA by the end。 。。。more

I was starving for doughnuts while reading this book whenever they talked about making and selling all those varieties of donuts。 Of course, our author had to throw in a few stale macho men, who through sweet talk and emotional play, hide their actual real selves。 Having been conned myself, by a silver-tongued former acquaintance, I rarely accept sweet talk from someone who makes everyone like them so easily as the men described in this book and never discuss my finances。 As soon as I read that I was starving for doughnuts while reading this book whenever they talked about making and selling all those varieties of donuts。 Of course, our author had to throw in a few stale macho men, who through sweet talk and emotional play, hide their actual real selves。 Having been conned myself, by a silver-tongued former acquaintance, I rarely accept sweet talk from someone who makes everyone like them so easily as the men described in this book and never discuss my finances。 As soon as I read that Macy, was in a financially better situation than her potential spouse Neal/Ed, mention joint accounts I saw the redlight warnings。 But the best part of the book was the meeting in the school principal's office, where the two "friends" were exposed for the bullying, was the best part, especially when it was mentioned that they tried to make Audrey make a prank fake call about a bomb threat, knowing that it had major consequences as if they were made of porcelain and nothing would fallback to them。 Too rarely do individuals like this get their just deserves。 This was a fun enjoyable fast read。 。。。more

5 Stars5 stars for The Devine Doughnut Shop。 A wonderful story about the family owned Double D doughnut shop and the family that runs it。 Wonderful lessons to be learned about bullies, small town gossip and what's most important in life。 My only disappointment is that we didn't get the secret recipe! I could almost taste the doughnuts! What a sweet book! This was about two sisters and their cousin who own/run the Devine Doughnut Shop。 They've each had bad experiences with love, but only the oldest Grace isn't longing for a relationship。 She's busy with her popular minded daughter Audrey who's given up her old friends to try to be more "popular。"I enjoyed it, it was a sweet shirt read。 What a sweet book! My MusingsAnother fantastic small town romance with delightful characters and a heartfelt plot。 Carolyn Brown is the queen of this type of story。 I always know I am in for a treat when she releases a book。 The narrator is perfect for her books as well。 Happy reading and listening!
